Meet Rob

I’ve always been someone who likes to understand how things work. As a kid, I was the one pulling things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together again. That curiosity turned into a lifelong skillset — rebuilding cars as a teenager, repairing friends’ vehicles, and eventually training professionally as an aircraft engineer specialising in avionics, electronics, and computer systems.

My early career in aviation taught me the value of precision, discipline, and doing things properly the first time. Along the way I completed tertiary qualifications in engineering and business, which gave me a strong foundation in both technical problem-solving and practical project management.

Outside of engineering, I developed a longstanding interest in property. Over the years I’ve renovated several homes, managed a small residential portfolio, and been entrusted to maintain commercial units on behalf of a body corporate. Those experiences shaped the way I approach handyman work today — with a focus on quality, reliability, and long-term value for the homeowner.

I’m also an Electrical Service Technician (EST), which means I’m registered in New Zealand to safely test, service, and maintain electrical equipment. In practical terms, this covers tasks such as lighting replacements, appliance repairs, fault-finding, and low-voltage electrical work. I’m fully insured and work to the same safety standards I learned in aviation.

These days, I bring all of that experience together to help homeowners keep their properties in top condition. I’m just as comfortable pruning trees or repairing a sticking door as I am setting up a new WiFi network, installing security cameras, or troubleshooting electrical issues. I take pride in tidy workmanship, clear communication, and leaving every job better than I found it.
